Philosophy
All persons with intellectual disability can be helped provided timely and appropriate intervention is available and we invest in the latent potential in the communities for providing creative and imaginative ways of care towards the disabled in their midst
Mission Statement
" To establish an infrastructure of accessible services for persons with intellectual disability living in low socio economic areas and primarily for infants and preschool children, using as far as possible manpower resources available within the target communities with active community participation and leading to an inclusive society. "

Registration
Registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Donations are exempted under section 80G for local donors and under FCRA for foreign donations
Membership
Affiliate member of The Inclusion International, 2 nd Vice President of the Asian Federation for the Intellectually Disabled (AFID) and Member of the National Trust, Government of India.
Awards
Award for Innovation from the World Bank in 2001 for successfully linking disability, women's empowerment and poverty
The Founder-Director received an award from Inclusion International, the world body advocating for persons with mental handicaps, in precognition of work with low socio economic communities in 1998 at their World Conference in theHague. Award of Recognition from Inclusion International in 1998

Clinical services:
Clinical assessment of children is done by a team of healthcare professionals comprising a paediatrician, occupational therapist, and psychologist.
Other services offered : Speech therapy, physiotherapy, counselling and optometric services are available for all. For details contact Dwarka office
Early intervention services for children between 0-5 years
This is one to one assessment and therapy sessions for children between the ages of 0 to 5 years. Services are provided through center-based intervention.
Special Education for children between 5 – 12 years
Student-Teacher ratio is 8:1. Children with delayed milestones and children with disabilities such as Downs syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy etc., are given training in Activities of Daily Living and other skills under regular supervision of the healthcare professionals
Education for children between 5 - 12 years
Afternoon sessions are starting in April for children who have difficulty with their studies. Counseling sessions will be conducted.
Income-generation programmes
Mothers of intellectually disabled and intellectually disabled adults are trained in skills and are involved in the income generation. Presently it is spices unit in Dwarka and papier mache handicrafts in Dakshinpuri. With support from Government of India, the groups also produce paper bags, cloth bags and jute bags.
Experiential Residential study program for national and international students to take up research and /or study disability, poverty and women's empowerment
Other facilities
Samadhan, Dwarka centre offers rooms for accommodation and provides space for holding conferences, workshops and training programmes.
