UCMD – A multi-faceted organization

Introduction – Uttarakhand Chetna Manch Dwarka (UCMD) was formed as a multifaceted organization to provide a platform for the promotion of socio-economics, cultural and various other activities of all the residents in general and Uttarakhandies in particular. Once developed fully, Dwarka will house a large number of Uttarakhandies who will be looking for a common platform to take care of their social, cultural/ other requirements/ aspirations. Besides being an amenity for the benefit of local populace.

Aims & Objectives

The main aim of UCMD is to provide a social platform, create awareness amongst our youths and future generations and to preserve our rich cultural and social fabric and heritage. It will help people to remain connected with their roots.

Some of the key objectives of UCMD are:

• Foster the spirit of oneness and common brotherhood amongst the residents of Dwarka Subcity and adjoining localities.
• Create socio-cultural awareness amongst youths by conducting seminars/ symposiums/ sports/ cultural events etc.
• Establish a team of professionals from various fields/ walk of life who will act as nodal points for liasoning with various govt/ semi-govt/ non-govt organizations involved in the various projects/ development activities.
• Identify areas in and around Delhi and at Uttarakhand for developmental projects and assist the locals and agencies associated in such projects.
• Raise funds for the construction of our Community Centre at Dwarka.
